Migration Celebration was a project created by Shadowland Theatre that used theatre arts to honour the role birds play in our lives and ecosystems. This was a collaboration between Shadowland Theatre, MabelleARTS, the Thorncliffe Park Women's Committee, and Birds Canada. Shadowland Theatre artists, Indigenous teachers and musicians led a series of weekly workshops in each community. The project culminated in June 2022 with a spectacular, costumed parade that fluttered from Centre Island to the grounds of St Andrew by-the-Lake Church, followed by a community feast.
