Migration Celebration

Imagine a flock of brightly costumed ‘birds’ dancing along the pathways and floating on the lagoons of the Toronto Islands. Serenaded by a musical chorus of bird calls, people from across Toronto and beyond, flock to see this extraordinary ‘migration’.
Migration Celebration is a collaboration between Shadowland Theatre, Birds Canada, MabelleARTS, Thorncliffe Park Women's Committee, Toronto Island SUP and the Waterfront BIA honouring the role birds play in our lives and ecosystems.
Shadowland Theatre artists, Birds Canada educators and Indigenous teachers will lead a series of weekly workshops in each community to bring awareness of the diverse bird life that swoops into Toronto every year.
The celebration will culminate in a spectacular parade and festivities from Ward’s Island to the grounds of St Andrew-by-the-Lake Church at Centre Island.
So how do I get involved?
